Gruene Acres Doodle Park Client Waiver
All dogs must be a Doodle, or a poodle. You may also have one additional dog that can be another breed, as long as it is not an aggressive breed. Gruene Acres reserves the right to deny membership if they feel your dog could be an aggressive breed.
The following breeds are not eligible for membership: Pit Bull or Pit Bull mixes, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Bull Dog, Shar Pei, Dogo Argentino, Presa Canario, Fila Brasileiro, as well as dogs mixed with these breeds. Wolves or Wolf hybrids are not permitted for any services.
Do not share gate code with anyone who is not a member, or open gate for nonmembers.
To ensure a safe environment for all dogs and participants, proof of current vaccinations including distemper/parvo and rabies (every year or three years depending on the vaccinations your veterinarian administers) and an annual Bordetella are required before membership is approved.
We do not accept home vaccinations, hand written vaccinations, sticker books, pet passports, breeder vaccines and require all vaccinations be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
If vaccinations are not current, we require a 5-day waiting period for vaccinations to become effective. The waiting period begins the day after the vaccination is administered.
In the event that your dog does not receive the distemper/parvo or rabies vaccinations (for health reasons/immunity), a “titer test” will need to be performed by your veterinarian. There is no “titer test” for the Bordetella, and will need to administered as required. A copy of the “titer test” results is required before entering the Doodle Park for any activity.
Although your dog is vaccinated against Bordetella, it is not a guarantee that your dog will not contract some form of the virus and Gruene Acres Doodle Park will not be liable for any veterinary expenses.
Puppies must be over the age of 16 weeks and have had their puppy boosters. We require 3 distemper/parvo boosters and annual vaccine, a current rabies vaccine and an annual Bordetella. Once they receive their last booster/vaccine, there is a 5-day waiting period before they can come join in the fun.
No dogs in heat.
Owner must be present at Park at all times to monitor your dogs.
This membership liability agreement releases Gruene Acres Doodle/Dog Park from all liability to you, your dogs, or anyone who accompanies you for the duration of your membership or one day pass to the Park.
You are entering with full knowledge that accidents involving dogs playing, children getting knocked down or any other injury to adults as a result from dogs playing are your full responsibility and not the responsibility of Gruene Acres.
Be responsible with your dog. Don’t allow excessive barking or mounting, or unwanted rough play. Please redirect, or place on leash and separate or you will be asked to leave.
Children under 13 must be under close supervision at all times.
Children must be instructed by parents proper behavior with dogs. No running, screaming, etc. Approach other dogs gently at all times.
Maximum of two dogs per member unless special permission from management.
Gruene Acres is non-smoking.
Each member is responsible for picking up and disposing of their own dog’s waste. Please supply your own waste bags.
No abuse of animals.
If you or your dog have symptoms of illness, do not enter Park.
Members understand that agreeing and bringing their pup to Gruene Acres Doodle Park that management has relied on the member’s representation that their pup is in good health and has not shown aggression or harm to another person or dog.
Aggressive behavior is not accepted at any time. Member is solely responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) and must break up any disturbances involving their dog(s). Any dog showing aggressive behavior will be asked to either leash or leave immediately.
Gruene Acres is not responsible for any damage, injury, or illness on our premises, and all members are responsible financially and legally for their pup.
Gruene Acres Doodle Park reserves the right to deny membership or entrance to anyone at any time.
Gruene Acres will close occasionally for maintenance or special events. We will do our best to notify through social media.
Participation at Gruene Acres Doodle Park is voluntary and at your own risk. We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently remove any person or dog from the property for behavior that is harmful to patrons or staff. It is your sole responsibility to ensure the safety of your dog(s), your guests and yourself. Your membership may be revoked or denied at any time if it is found that you have jeopardized the safety of other guests or dogs.
If you are permanently removed from Gruene Acres Doodle Park for any reason, a REFUND will not be given to any membership package.
Members authorize Gruene Acres Doodle Park to take photographs and/or videos of members, or pets while on premises of Gruene Acres Doodle Park. Photographs and/or videos may be used for the purpose of posting on Gruene Acres Doodle Park’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter or advertising for Gruene Acres Doodle Park’s website.
Understand that due to the excessive running and playing on turf that some paws might get sensitive or tender as a result from worn or torn pads. Please monitor your dog(s), and remember that you are responsible for the safety of your pup.
Paws will also be sensitive to the heat, please carefully monitor your pup and prevent them from playing excessively on hot turf.
To qualify for Gruene Acres Doodle Park, all dogs are required to be spayed or neutered. (Pups younger than 12 months old need not be spayed or neutered.)
Gruene Acres Doodle Park highly recommends the Bivalent Canine Influenza Vaccine (H3N2 and H3N8) yearly. Please note that initially this is a booster vaccine (boosters are 3-4 weeks apart).
